• This topic is optimal for reviewing grammatical items, timelines, and time expressions.
• It also allows for the development of cultural topics related to history, literature, and physics.

Legislative Framework

• The didactic unit is designed taking into account the current legislation for the course 2023-2024.
• The relevant legislation includes:
  • Organic Law 2-2006, May 3rd of Education (LOE)
  • Organic Law 3-2020, December 29th of Education (LOE-LOMLOE)
  • Royal Decree 217-2022, March 29th, which establishes the ordination and the minimum teachings of obligatory secondary education
  • Order ECD 117-2022, August 2nd, which approves the curriculum and the characteristics of the assessment in obligatory secondary education

Context of the High School

• The high school is a two-line breed high school with around 400 students in the town of Sabiñánico, Huesca.
• The chosen level is a group of 21 students, a fourth of secondary education.
• The group includes two students with special educational needs: Asperger's syndrome with high intellectual capacities and a dyslexic student.
• Two students are retaking the course and have English pending from previous courses.

Educational Project of the Center

• The educational project is based on the principles of democracy.

  • Plural education with acceptance and respect for all possibilities of the ideological spectrum
  • Critical education, scientific, humanistic, artistic, and technological

Timing of the Didactic Unit

• The didactic unit belongs to a corpus of 10 didactic units that develop throughout the school year.
• It is the third didactic unit of the year and comprises 12 sessions.
• The sessions are designed to be developed at the end of the first term from November 6th to November 24th.
