The Munchkins

  • A group of peculiar people, about Dorothy's height, approaches her.
  • There are three men and one woman, all dressed in odd clothing.
  • The men wear blue hats with little bells and blue clothing, while the woman wears a white hat and gown with stars.
  • The men are about as old as Uncle Henry, with two having beards, while the woman is older with wrinkles and white hair.

The Munchkins' Greeting

  • The little old woman welcomes Dorothy to the land of the Munchkins and thanks her for killing the Wicked Witch of the East.
  • Dorothy is confused and denies killing anyone, but the woman explains that the house's fall killed the witch.
