The Mercy of Jesus
- Jesus withdrew to the sea with disciples, a large crowd followed.
- People from Galilee, Judea, Idumea, beyond Jordan and Tyre/Sidon came to him.
- Jesus told disciples to prepare a boat due to the crowd.
- Many were cured, those with diseases pressed to touch him.
- Demonic spirits recognized Jesus as the Son of God.

The Mission of the Twelve
- Jesus summoned twelve disciples (disciples).
- Appointed them to preach and drive out demons as his representatives.
- Included Simon (Peter), James and John (sons of thunder), Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (son of Alphaeus), Thaddeus, Simon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot.
Blasphemy of the Scribes
