The Influence of Judaism

Judaism provided an important foundation for both Christianity and Islam by introducing the belief in a single God and influencing their religious practices.

These religions are sometimes called the Abrahamic faiths because they all worship the same God who spoke to Abraham thousands of years ago.

Christianity and Islam became powerful driving forces in human history, eventually becoming the two most popular religions in the world. Their believers ruled powerful empires and often struggled for control of land in Europe, Southwest Asia, and North Africa.
