Pulmonary Circulation

This blood then moves into the right ventricle via the tricuspid valve and exits through the pulmonic valve, leading to the lungs for gas exchange. Once oxygen absorption occurs within lung tissue, oxygen-rich blood returns to the left atrium through pulmonary veins, completing the pulmonary circuit.

Coronary Circulation

The heart receives its own blood supply from the coronary circulation system. The right and left coronary arteries branch off from the ascending aorta, providing oxygenated blood to the myocardial tissue.
