Vehicle Registration and Weight
- Registration papers indicate the vehicle's empty weight and the maximum weight it is allowed to haul.
Emergency Equipment Requirements
- Outside city limits, a vehicle cannot operate on divided highways without carrying three flares or three red electric lanterns (or reflectors) after sunset.
- During daylight hours, two red flags must be used instead.
Stopping Protocol for Wide and Long Vehicles
- Vehicles measuring 80 inches or more in width and 30 feet or more in length must activate electric hazard warning signal lights when stopped on roadways or shoulders, except when parked legally in city limits or discharging passengers.
Fire Extinguisher Regulations
