Vehicle Registration and Weight

  • Registration papers indicate the vehicle's empty weight and the maximum weight it is allowed to haul.

Emergency Equipment Requirements

  • Outside city limits, a vehicle cannot operate on divided highways without carrying three flares or three red electric lanterns (or reflectors) after sunset.
  • During daylight hours, two red flags must be used instead.
