There are 2 major groups of cloud hyperscalers: Cloud Service Providers who offer scalable data center capabilities including computing, storage, networking, security, and other infrastructure-centric services, and associated capabilities in the public cloud and private cloud, and Cloud hyperscalers who include multiple solution providers who offer solutions used by many companies in their regular business operations.
The Cloud Service Provider Industry has many advantages over traditional IT methods, including the ability to achieve a lower variable cost than you can get on your own, the massive economies of scale, the ability to eliminate guessing on your infrastructure capacity needs, the speed and agility of cloud computing, and the focus on projects that differentiate your business, rather than the heavy lifting of racking, stacking, and powering servers.
AWS offers a wide range of services, classified into different types and categories.
Compute resources are the brains and processing power needed by applications and systems to carry out computational tasks.
Cloud storage is a service that allows users to store and access data over the Internet.
Databases are a new breed of database that offers all the benefits of the cloud: elasticity, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Networking in cloud computing is the process of connecting computers and devices together so they can communicate with each other.
Security in cloud computing is built into the core of AWS infrastructure and offers foundational services to help organizations meet their unique security requirements in the cloud.
