- Intelligence is the product of collecting, evaluating, analyzing, integrating, and interpreting all available information.
- There are three levels of intelligence: tactical, operational, and strategic.
- The function of intelligence is to advise decision makers on the environment within which the organization operates.
- The intelligence cycle consists of planning and direction, collection, analysis, and intelligence.
- The Admiralty Scale is used to evaluate the reliability of sources and the validity of information.
- Logic is the process of reasoning, and it influences the information known to draw conclusions.
- The Periodic Status Report (PSR) includes evaluated information and accepted data regarding the composition, disposition, strength, training, tactics, logistics, combat efficiency, and miscellaneous data applicable to an enemy force.
