Teacher Education Program Outcomes
- Specific outcomes exist for various teacher education programs outlined in CMO No. 74 to CMO No. 82 from 2017.
- Programs include Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education (with majors in English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies), Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Special Needs Education, Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education, Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education, Bachelor of Physical Education, and Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education.
Three Types of Learning
- Identified by Benjamin Bloom and colleagues in 1956, the three domains of educational activities are cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.
- Cognitive Domain: Involves mental skills; often simplified to 'knowledge.'
- Affective Domain: Focuses on emotional growth; simplified to 'attitudes.'
- Psychomotor Domain: Covers physical skills; simplified to 'skills.'
- Categories in these domains are hierarchical, evolving from simpler to more complex behaviors.
Revised Cognitive Domain
- Lorin Anderson, a student of Bloom, modified the cognitive domain objectives, switching the categories from nouns to verbs and rearranging the order of synthesis and evaluation.
