Agricultural Income
- Agricultural income is considered as income derived from land, such as rent or revenue derived from land, including income from agriculture, or income from sale of agricultural produce.
Exempt Income
- Income from agricultural operations is an example of exempt income.
- Any income that is wholly exempt under the Income Tax Act is not chargeable to tax.
TDS and TRACES
- TDS stands for Tax Deduction at Source.
- TRACES (TDS-Reconciliation Analysis and Correction Enabling System) is used for correction and reconciliation of TDS statements.
- TDS needs to be finally adjusted while filing the return of income.

- Income earned in India is taxable in India.
- The following types of income are included in the total income for tax calculation purposes: salary, house property, business or profession, capital gains, and other sources.
