    Forms, Filings, and Compliances

    • Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is required for individuals and juridical persons to comply with Internal Revenue Code. This TIN is indicated on tax documents submitted to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
    • Different application forms (BIR Forms 1901-1904) are for different types of applicants including self-employed, those with mixed income, purely compensation income, Overseas Filipino Workers/Seamen earning foreign-sourced income, corporations, partnerships, and one-time taxpayers.
    • Taxpayers must register with the appropriate Revenue District Office (RDO) before commencing business or operation with jurisdiction over head office, branch offices, place of production, and storage place.
    • Registration can also be done through the BIR's Online Registration and Update System (ORUS).
    • Certificate of Registration (BIR Form 2303) is issued upon successful registration.
    • Cancellation of registration is possible due to business closure, cessation, or termination using BIR Form 1905 (Application for Registration Information Update).
    • Annual registration fees (BIR Form 0605) are due on January 31 and amount to P500 for each separate or distinct establishment or place of business.

    Tax Filing

    • Manual filing is an offline method using eBIRForms.
    • eFiling is the electronic method using the internet (eFPS or Online eBIRForms).

    Rule on Amendment of Returns

    • Returns, statements, and declarations cannot be withdrawn but can be modified, changed, or amended within three (3) years from the date of filing.
