  • Every servant who is granted study leave must execute a bond.
  • A certificate demonstrating the course's completion, along with the dates.
  • Certifications must be submitted through the head of mission if the study is conducted outside India.

Other Important Rules and Regulations

  • Study leave extending beyond the course duration needs prior approval to resume duty as ordinary leave.
  • No study leave payment for courses that are shorter than the leave period requested.
  • Resignations or retirement after study leave must refund leave salary, fees, and other incurred charges.
  • Other allowances are not paid during study leave, except for House Rent Allowance and Dearness Allowance.
  • Travelling allowance will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.
  • Fees for study are the servant's responsibility, unless a scholarship is availed.
