Spoken English Course Overview

• The Spoken English Course focuses on communication through speaking and listening.
• All course materials are provided each lesson, and no course book is needed.
• The course is not grammar-based, but covers functional and topic-related language and vocabulary in various situations.

Module 1 Objectives

• Develop spoken accuracy and fluency around the topic of forming and developing friendships and relationships.
• Covers various themes, including:
  • Feeling confident when meeting someone for the first time
  • Using small-talk
  • Talking about pastimes and free time activities
  • Being polite in English
  • Knowing what to say when you don’t know what to say
  • Story-telling
  • Giving advice
  • Socialising and networking
  • Expressing opinions
  • Agreeing, disagreeing and managing a discussion

Course Structure
