• What to Expect in Training: Health and Safety Protocols (masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, hand-washing), 5 Aspects of training: Academics (90% grade requirement, hands-on proficiencies, daily assignments), Attendance (on-time performance), and reliability
• Physical Performance Standards: Flight Attendant weight/height ratio must not hinder job functions. Uniform size parameters are specified (Men's 28-42 inches waist; Women's 0-18.)
• Candidate Appearance Standards: Must meet the highest standards in appearance. (clothing, accessories, grooming.) Attire requirements for training will be specified in the schedule.
• Personal Hygiene: Maintain neutral/subtle scent, avoid smoking odors when possible, and keep good hygiene.
• Employment Standards: Includes attendance, satisfactory grades, adhering to appearance standards, complying with FAA/DOT drug and alcohol screenings, and background checks
• Pay: $1,200 (minus taxes) within 5-7 days of hire. Paycheck should be received in (up to 30) days after training completion.
• Accommodations (ADA): Contact Southwest Accommodations Team for any needed accommodations, with medical documentation.
• Uniforms: Standards and guidelines for the uniform are in the packet, and assistance with uniform order and fitting is provided. Budget for uniforms ($500 max).
• Luggage: Maximum of three pieces, with weight/size restrictions.
• Meals: Prepaid debit card for food. Food is available in the employee cafeteria.
• Guidelines & Expectations: No recording or photography of training sessions. Cell phones are permitted during breaks, but not in class, or when in service. Smoking is only in designated areas.
• Graduation Celebration: Formal graduation ceremony.
• Hotel Information: Hotel accommodations provided, single occupancy only
• Personal Security: Be aware of surroundings, don't share personal information, be aware of personal safety.
