Survey of Sociology Students

• The survey was conducted at the beginning of the semester among students of the School of Sociology, First Semester, Section 12.

Variables and Classification

• The survey consists of 4 variables:
  • V1: Age (in years)
  • V2: Residence in the parish (before or after the landslide)
  • V3: Literacy (can read and write)
  • V4: Educational level achieved

Classification Systems

• V1: Numerical (age in years)
• V2: Nominal (before or after the landslide)
• V3: Dichotomous (can read and write: yes/no)
• V4: Ordinal (sequence of educational levels)

Measurement Levels

• V1: Ratio (numerical)
• V2: Nominal
• V3: Nominal
• V4: Ordinal

Principles of Data Matrices

• The first principle: V3 does not satisfy the first principle, as it has a "no apply" option.
• The second principle: V2 satisfies the second principle, as it has only two categories.

Data Analysis

• The survey consists of 20 responses, with each response including the 4 variables.

Variable Analysis

• V4 (Educational level):
  • Conclusion 1: Most students have completed at least a basic education.
  • Conclusion 2: Some students have achieved higher educational levels.

Importance of Variables

• Variables V10, V11, V12, and V14 are not present in the survey, as the survey only has 4 variables (V1 to V4).
• No information can be obtained from these non-existent variables.
