- In pre-Islamic societies, social systems were based on natural bonds such as kinship, race, and language, but Islam introduced two new foundations: the foundation of religion and the foundation of humanity.
The Foundation of Religion
- The foundation of religion unites people by creating a sense of true equality and brotherhood among them, as it binds them to one God, one destiny, and one goal.
- It eliminates blind loyalty to race, pride, and rivalry, and instead, creates a sense of genuine desire to please Allah.
- It unites people's emotions, aspirations, and hearts, making them strive for Allah's pleasure and the Hereafter.
The Foundation of Humanity
- In some cases, the foundation of religion can be a factor in dividing society, especially when it is used to promote racial or sectarian supremacy.
