Social Science Overview

Social science is the branch of science that studies society and its relationships.

Social science encompasses disciplines such as anthropology, archaeology, economics, human geography, linguistics, management science, communication science, and political science.

Positivist social scientists use methods resembling those used in the natural sciences as tools for understanding societies, and so define science in its stricter modern sense.
