Geography

Geography is concerned with the spatial interactions of physical and cultural features on Earth's surface. It considers both natural environments (e.g., climate, terrain) and human environments (e.g., urbanization, land use planning). In addition to physical maps, geographers may utilize remote sensing technologies and GIS tools to analyze data spatially. Human geography focuses specifically on the interactions between people and their surroundings, exploring themes like migration, globalization, and regional development.

Civics

Civics, which comes from the Latin word 'civilis', meaning 'relating to citizenship', is the study of government, politics, laws, rights, and duties of citizens within communities. At its core, civics aims to promote active participation in democratic institutions, fostering knowledge about public policy, voting procedures, and constitutional principles. It encourages critical thinking about current issues and prepares citizens to engage in responsible political action.
