- Simplicate offers standard fields that cannot be modified or deleted
- Additional custom fields called "free fields" can be added for relevant information
- Free fields can be of different types such as text, numeric, note, currency, yes/no, selection, date, web address, and links to people, companies, sales, employees, and projects
- Free fields can be created by going to Settings > General > Free fields
- Custom fields can be named, assigned to a specific module, grouped, and set as required, searchable, and filterable
- Free fields in the Projects module can also be used as filter options in the Invoices module
- This allows for easy selection of projects for invoicing based on specific criteria
- Example: a free field for project duration can be created and used to filter projects for invoicing
- Free fields can be added by clicking the green button "+ New" in Simplicate
- Free fields offer flexibility in capturing and organizing data in Simplicate.
