SHL: Teams and History

SHL, also known as Swiss Hockey League, is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland. It was founded in 1936 and is considered the highest level of ice hockey in Switzerland. The league is divided into two divisions: the National League A (NLA) and the National League B (NLB).

Teams

As of the 2023-2024 season, there are 14 teams in the Swiss Hockey League, seven in the National League A and seven in the National League B. These teams are spread across Switzerland, with some teams representing cities and others representing regions.

National League A Teams
