Human Sexual Response Cycle
- The sequence of physical and emotional changes during sexual arousal and participation in sexually stimulating activities.
- Four phases:
- Desire (libido)
- Arousal (excitement)

- B. Dysfunction of Sexual Arousal (during the Arousal/Plateau Phase):
- Male erectile disorder: Inability to maintain or achieve an erection
- Female sexual arousal disorder: Inability to experience or maintain sexual arousal
Other sexual dysfunctions
- Hypersexuality (Nymphomania/Furor Uterinus): A female psychological disorder characterized by an overactive libido and an obsession with sex.
- Exhibitionism: Exposure of genitals to others in inappropriate contexts.
