Study Notes

Science is a broad term encompassing various fields of knowledge which study natural phenomena through observation, experimentation, measurement, and reasoning. It includes disciplines such as astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, geography, psychology, anthropology, sociology, economics, political science, mathematics, and computer science. Science aims to describe, explain, predict, understand and control phenomena, events, objects and processes of the world around us using evidence and testable explanations. Scientists collect data by observing nature; they ask questions and create hypotheses based on their observations, performing experiments to find out whether these predictions are correct. Experiments help them make conclusions and draw inferences from collected information. This process promotes critical thinking skills among scientists. Science involves many subfields, each having its own specific methods and tools. In essence, science explores the mysteries of reality in pursuit of understanding how things work.
