Introduction to Scale & Bagger Operator

The purpose of this SOP is to understand and operate the Bagger & Scale machine.
The product flow in the process includes incline, cone, buckets, weighing, funnel, bag, sealing, and takeaway conveyor.
The necessary tools for operating the machine include a beard net, boot liner, boots, hairnet, smock, hearing protection, vinyl gloves, Greens Department Production Schedule, Machine Log Sheet, Shelf Life sheet, and Weight Scale.
Before stepping onto the production floor, operators must understand the equipment, including the Scale and Bagger.
Operators must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) before entering the production floor.
Operators need to retrieve necessary paperwork from their supervisor or office clerk, including the Machine Log Sheet, Shelf Life Sheet, and Greens Department Production Schedule.
The Machine Log Sheet is used to track production information, such as bagger number, shift, name, product check information, and bag checks.
The Shelf Life Sheet provides the shelf life for the product and is used to input information onto the bag.
Operators should dry the bagger using an air gun and wear safety glasses when working with it.
The film inventory area contains the corresponding tube for the film being used, and the production schedule determines the film placement measurements.
Operators need to select the corresponding program for the bagger and scale, ensuring that the bags being dispensed are correct and the printer is working properly.
Operators should test a bag and verify that all the information on the bag is correct before continuing production.
