  • Region 3, also known as Central Luzon, comprises the provinces of Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, and Aurora
  • Aurora was integrated into the region via Executive Order No. 103, issued by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo
  • The capital region is the City of San Fernando in Pampanga
  • The provinces and their capitals are: Aurora (Baler), Bataan (Balanga City), Bulacan (Malolos City), Nueva Ecija (Palayan City), Pampanga (City of San Fernando), Tarlac (Tarlac City), and Zambales (Iba)
  • The climate consists of three types: a western part with a dry season from November to April and a wet season from May to October
  • The climate consists of a central part with no specific seasons and an eastern part with scattered rainfall throughout the year
