Registration for Salesperson Examination
- Submit Salesperson Examination Application (RE 400A) and applicable fee for the exam.
- Application must be mailed with copies of official transcripts to Sacramento BRE.
- An official Examination Schedule Notice (RE 401A) is sent outlining exam details; check with BRE if not received in 4 weeks.
- No changes can be made to the application once submitted.
- The exam duration is 3 hours and 15 minutes, consisting of 150 questions.
- A passing score is 70% or higher; failure to attend requires rescheduling and fee payment.
- Exam scores are reported by mail within 5 days or can be checked online at the BRE website.
- There’s no limit on reexaminations, but applications are valid for two years.
- Each application must include a reexamination fee.

Internet Advertising Regulations
