Kaziranga National Park

  • Morning Jeep Safari: 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
  • Afternoon Jeep Safari: 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM
  • Elephant Safari Timing: Morning: 05:30 / 06:30, Morning: 06:30 / 07:30
  • Dolphin Safari: Bhumuraguri, trip takes 1 to 2 hours, best time to see River Dolphin: Morning 9 to 11
  • Safari Gates/Zones: Mihimukh in Central Range at Kohora, Bagori in Western Range at Bagori, Agaratoli in Eastern Range at Agaratoli, Ghorakati in Burapahar Range at Ghorakhati

Manas National Park

  • UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, Project Tiger reserve, elephant reserve, and biosphere reserve in Assam, India
  • Name originates from the Manas River, named after the serpent goddess Manasa
  • Best time to visit: November to April
  • Three ranges: Bansbari (Central), Panbari (Western), and Bhuyanpara (Eastern)

Gir National Park

  • Also known as Sasan Gir
  • Forest and Wildlife sanctuary primarily known for its Asiatic Lions
  • Open for tourism from 16th October to 15th June every year
  • Best time to visit: Winter from November to March
  • Popular safari zones: Sasan and Devalia
  • Morning Timings: Early morning safari starts at 6:00 AM and continues till 9:00 AM
  • Midday safari starts from 9:00 AM and continues up till 12:00 PM

Ranthambhore National Park

  • Located in Southeastern Part of Rajasthan
  • Covers an area of 292 sq kms
  • Protected refuge for wildlife like Bengal tigers, leopards, and sloth bears
  • 10 safari zones: Zones 1-10
  • Zones 1-5 are best for spotting tigers, Zones 6-10 are buffer zones
  • Core of the national park with Gates 1 to 5 remain closed in the monsoon; buffer zone with Gate 6 to 10 remain open in this season
  • Jeep Safari: Maximum capacity of Six people
  • Canter Safari: Accommodates up to 20 people

Mudumalai National Park

  • Home to 55 species of mammals, 227 species of birds, 50 species of fishes, 21 species of amphibians, and 34 species of reptiles
  • Jeep / Gypsy safari is organized by forest department
  • Only 2 gypsies available for safari
  • Safari timings: Morning Timings: 6.00 AM To 10.00 AM, Evening Timings: 2.00 PM To 6.00 PM

Sundarban National Park

  • Tiger and biosphere reserve located in the Sunderbans delta in West Bengal, India
  • World's largest mangrove forest
  • Home to more than 400 tigers
  • Offers only boat safari to visitors
  • Safari timing: 8:30 AM in the morning till 4:00 PM in the evening
  • Entry of boats after 6:30 PM is prohibited
  • Two kinds of boats available: AC and Non-AC, large and small for longer and shorter sailing duration, respectively

Sariska National Park

  • Located in Alwar district of Rajasthan
  • Home to numerous carnivores including Leopard, Wild Dog, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Jackal, and Tiger
  • Two gates: Sariska gates and Telha gates
  • Sariska Gate is the most popular gate with maximum wild animal sightings

Tadoba National Park

  • Maharashtra's oldest and largest National Park
  • One of India's 47 project tiger reserves
  • Open for visitors from 15th October to 30th June every season
  • Remains closed on every Tuesday
  • Main attraction: Jungle or Tiger Safari in an open-top gypsy
  • 6 core zones: Moharli, Zari, Pangadi Zone, Kuthvanda, Kolara zone, and Navegaon zones
  • 16 buffer zones: Agarzari, Mamla, Devada, Adegao, Pangdi, Junona, Shirkheda, Kolara, Zari/Peth, Ramdegi-Navegao, Keslaghat, Alizanza, Madnapur, Nimdela, Somnath, and Belara
