Vocabulary and Listening
- Adjectives: Words describing qualities. Examples: amazing, awesome, brilliant, fantastic, fine, great, horrible, lovely, OK, perfect, really good, terrible, wonderful
- Conversations: Short dialogues between people. Examples: conversations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
- Photos: Images showing people's activities.
Grammar - Past Simple of Be
- Positive: Use "was" for singular subjects (he, she, it) and "were" for plural subjects (we, they, you). Example: I was at the party. We were at the beach.
- Negative: Add "wasn't" for singular subjects and "weren't" for plural subjects. Example: I wasn't at the party. They weren't at the store.
- Questions: Use "was" for singular subjects and "were" for plural subjects in questions. Example was she at the party? Were they at the cinema?
- Short answers: Use "was" for singular and "were" for plural subjects in short answers, Example: Yes, I was. No, they weren't
Grammar - Like, Don't Like, Hate, Love
- -ing form: Used to describe activities. Example: I love playing the drums
- Really/Quite: Used to intensify the feeling. Example: I really love listening to music. I quite like playing the guitar.
Listening Comprehension
- Conversations: Short dialogues between individuals. Each conversation discusses a different topic.
- Pictures: Visual aids accompany questions about conversations to help students identify the correct response.
- Questions: Based on the conversations and pictures. Questions focus on who, what, when, where, and how the conversations took place
Writing
- Description of a special day: Students are asked to write about a special day and include details like who they were with, the location, the time, and their feelings about the experience.
Reading Comprehension
- Reviews: Short texts detailing experiences or activities. The reviews include different opinions and details about experiences that might include location, feelings, and impressions
- Questions: Students are asked to answer questions about the reviews in detail including who was involved, what happened, how people felt
- Vocabulary: Students identify and underline relevant words (like, upset, afraid, glad, etc.) for comprehension and analysis.
