Promotion Process for Stock Verifiers

Promotion to Stock Verifier depends on seniority, merit, and fitness for outdoor work. A minimum 2-year service as a Junior Account Assistants, with examination passed and in special cases, may also be considered.

JAAs with 2 years of service are eligible for promotion to Stock Verifiers, provided they pass the examination as described in Appendix-2 (IREM).

The requirement of passing the examination by JAAs with 2 years of service is relaxed in special situations under the General Manager's consent.

Stock Verifiers must complete a year of service and pass a departmental test on stores, account procedures, stock verification, adjustments, and report preparation.

Before appearing in the examination, Stock Verifiers must gain familiarity with various departments/stores (e.g., Loco, Carriage, & Wagon Depot).

Verification of stock and stores, resolving adjustments, preparation, and disposal of reports are crucial areas of the examination.

The examination consists of a written paper and a viva voce (oral) examination, with a 50% minimum passing mark for each.

The written examination component must reach at least 50% to pass.

At least 50% must be achieved during the Viva Voce examination.

Accounts Assistants in Grade Rs. 1400-2600, may be promoted to the rank of Stock Verifiers based on seniority and merit, preferably with fitness for outdoor works.

Promotion to Stock Verifier requires seniority, merit, and fitness for outdoor work. Junior Accounts Assistants with 2 years' experience can be considered if they pass the required examination.

After a year of service as a Stock Verifier, an employee can be confirmed if they pass a departmental exam testing their knowledge of stores, procedures, and verification.

The Stock Verifier confirmation exam covers knowledge of different store types, procedures, stock verification, adjustments, report preparation, and disposal.

Before the confirmation exam, Stock Verifiers need experience in various departments like Loco, Carriage, Signal, Power, General Stores, and more.

To pass the Stock Verifier confirmation exam, at least 50% of the marks must be obtained in the written paper portion.

In special cases, the General Manager can decide not to require the exam for JAAs with 2 years of service who want to become Stock Verifiers.

This test makes sure you understand different types of stores, how things work, and how to verify and adjust stock. You also need to know how to prepare and send reports.

Before you take the confirmation exam, you'll need to gain experience in different departments like Loco, Carriage & Wagon, Signal, Power, General Stores, and others.

To pass the written part of the confirmation exam, you need to get at least 50% of the marks.

You also need to pass the oral part of the exam, which requires at least 50% of the marks.

Promotion to Stock Verifier requires seniority, proven skills, and being physically fit for outdoor work. Junior Accounts Assistants with two years of experience can also be considered if they pass the necessary exam.

JAAs with 2 years of service can be considered for promotion to Stock Verifier, but they must pass the examination described in Appendix 2 (IREM) to be eligible.

The requirement for JAAs to pass the exam for Stock Verifier promotion can be relaxed in special cases under the General Manager's approval.

The viva voce (oral) part of the Stock Verifier confirmation exam also requires a minimum passing score of 50%.

Before appearing in the exam, officating Stock Verifiers should gain familiarity with various departments/stores, the methods and reasons for stores adjustments, and the disposal of Stock Verifier’s Reports.

The confirmation exam tests practical knowledge of the procedure relating to stock verification, adjustments arising from such verification, and the preparation and disposal of stock verification reports.

To be eligible for a promotion, an individual must hold the post of Accounts Assistant in Grade Rs. 1400-2600 and meet criteria like seniority, merit, and fitness for outdoor works. Alternatively, Junior Accounts Assistants with 2 years of service in the same grade can be considered if they pass the required examination.

To secure confirmation as a Stock Verifier, one needs to pass both the written paper and viva voce examination, each requiring a minimum of 50% of the total marks.

A Junior Account Assistant holding the position substantively with a minimum of 2 years of service in that grade can be considered for promotion to Stock Verifier if they pass the required examination.

The confirmation exam tests an individual's general understanding of different store types, knowledge of procedures followed in Stores Depots and Accounts Office, familiarity with stock verification process, and the ability to prepare and dispose of stock verification reports.

The General Manager has the authority to relax the requirement for Junior Account Assistants to pass the examination before being promoted to Stock Verifier in special cases.

Before an officiating Stock Verifier can take the confirmation exam, they must have experience and gained familiarity with various branches of work, procedures, and adjustments related to stores within the organization.

Seniority and merit, along with fitness for outdoor work, are considered when promoting individuals holding the post of Accounts Assistant to the rank of Stock Verifier.
