Registration and License
- A registrant who meets all requirements is issued a certificate of registration with their full name and serial number, signed by the Commissioner and Board members, stamped with the official seal.
- The certificate remains in effect until withdrawn, suspended, or revoked according to the law.
- A professional license is issued to registrants who have paid annual registration fees for three consecutive years and complied with Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements, unless exempted.
Oath and Renewal
- Applicants for registration as PEEs, REEs, or RMEs can take their oath only after registration.
- The Professional License is renewed every three years on the birth month of the PEE, REE, or RME, upon compliance with CPE requirements and payment of annual registration fees.
Delisting and Lifting of Deferment
- A PEE, REE, or RME delinquent in payment of annual registration fees for five consecutive years will be delisted and cannot practice their profession until they surrender their Certificate of Registration and/or Professional License.
- A respondent-examinee who has passed the examination may be allowed to register after a disciplinary action lapse of at least one year from the date of the decision.
Practice Requirements
- A valid certificate of registration and professional license from the Commission are required to practice electrical engineering in the Philippines, except as otherwise allowed under this Act.
Examination Fees
- Applications for oral and written examinations are subject to payment of fees prescribed by the Commission.
- Ninety percent of the fees are treated as a special fund for the Commission's programs and activities, while the remaining ten percent is set aside as a trust fund for the continuing education and research center.
