Working with Text

  • You can apply subscript effect to text using the Font group on the Home tab.
  • To clear formatting from text, select the text and click Home → Clear All Formatting.

Using Find and Replace

  • To open the Find dialog, click Home → Find or press Ctrl + F.
  • Type the search term and click Find Next to search for the term in the presentation.
  • To access replace options, click the “Replace…” command in the Find dialog, click Home → Replace, or use the Ctrl + H shortcut.
  • Enter the search and replacement terms, then click Replace All and OK when complete.

Applying Bullets and Numbers

  • To apply bullets or numbering to text, select the text and click Home → Numbering or Home → Bullets arrow.
  • Click the desired bullet style to apply it to the text.

Changing Text Alignment

  • Commands to change text alignment are located in the Paragraph group of the Home tab.
  • Click the “My Presentation” text, then click Home → Center to center the text.
  • You can also change vertical alignment using the Home → Align Text command.

Formatting Text as Columns

  • To format text as columns, place the cursor in the target text box, click Home → Add or Remove Columns, and choose the number of columns.

  • To change the font face, size, and color, activate the text box and use the commands on the Home tab and the mini toolbar.

  • In the Font dialog, choose a font, style, size, and color, and click OK to apply the changes.

Using the Format Painter

  • To use the Format Painter, select text that has formatting, click Home → Format Painter, and then select the text to paint.
  • The formatting will be applied to the selected text.

Clearing Formatting

  • To clear formatting from text, select the text and click Home → Clear All Formatting.
  • The formatting will be reset to default.
