- NRLM is a restructured version of SGSY.

- 25% of NRLM funds are earmarked for the Aajeevika Skill Development Programme (ASDP).
- NRLM encourages public sector banks to set up Rural Self Employment Training Institutes in all districts.
- The National Rural Economic Transformation Project is a world Bank-aided project for digital finance and livelihood interventions.
- DAY-NRLM may have both men and women in Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
- Women SHGs consist of 10-20 members; the minimum should be 5.
- DAY-NRLM, MoRD provides Revolving Fund (RF) support as corpus, ranging from ₹20,000-30,000 per SHG.
- Banks extend credit at 7% per annum for loans up to ₹3 lakh, and women SHGs with prompt repayment get an additional 3% interest subvention, reducing the effective rate to 4%.
- Banks extend credit at a rate of 10% for loans above ₹3 lakh and up to ₹5 lakh .
- One woman in every SHG under DAY-NRLM may be provided a loan up to ₹1 lakh under the MUDRA Scheme.
- An overdraft facility of ₹5,000 is available to verified SHG members under DAY-NRLM with accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.
- No collateral or margin is obtained for loans to SHGs up to ₹10.00-20.00 lakh.

- Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana funds training projects to develop rural youth skills and productive capacity.
- It is a sub-scheme of DAY NRLM, launched on September 25, 2014
- The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) provides a legal guarantee of employment every financial year to adult members of any rural household, enhancing livelihood security in rural areas.
- The Act was passed in 2005 and came into effect on February 2, 2006 and renamed in 2009 (MGNREGA).
- MGNREGA is a central sector scheme (100% funding for wages)
- It guarantees 100 days of wage employment in a financial year to a rural household whose adult members volunteer for unskilled manual work.
- Wage rates are notified and revised annually based on the CPI-AL by the Central Government.
- Work should ordinarily be provided within a 5 km radius of the village; beyond which, 10% additional transportation and living expenses will be paid.
- At least one-third beneficiaries shall be women who have registered and requested work under the scheme.
- An additional 50 days of wage employment are provided over and above 100 days in drought-affected areas.

Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution
- The National Food Security Act, 2013 moves from welfare to a rights-based approach to food and nutritional security.

- Beneficiaries: Up to 75% of the rural population and up to 50% of the urban population get subsidized food grains under TPDS.

- Priority households receive 5 kg of food grains per person per month.
