Plants are essential for the ecosystem and human life
There are five key systems within plants: reproduction, development, nutrition, gas exchange, and transport
Plants are comprised of organs: roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruit
Similar cells work together to form tissues
Tissues combine to form organs
Plants produce oxygen as a byproduct of photosynthesis which is crucial for human and animal respiration
Plants absorb carbon dioxide and help mitigate climate change by regulation
Plants help prevent soil erosion by keeping soil in place
Plants provide a variety of habitats and environments for biodiversity
Plants are a major source of food for humans and animals, and provide essential nutrients
Plants provide raw materials for various industries, including wood, fibers, and oils
Plants provide medicines, such as aspirin derived from willow bark
Plant-based biofuels are a renewable energy source
Plants contribute directly to economic growth through agriculture, forestry, and horticulture
Traditional and modern medicine rely on plant-based compounds

Students are instructed to set up a plant party experiment
Use two pots and fill them with soil, one with clay soil, the other with loam
The pots with loam should be placed in different locations, one with sunlight, the other with limited sunlight
Water the plants with equal amounts and check them regularly
Remove the plants from the pots and remove the soil from the roots
Place plants in a drying oven and record findings
