Ask Richard's mom (Vera) to arrive at least 30 minutes before they need to leave to ensure on-time arrival.
Confirm end time based on travel time with Richard's mom.

"Hi Vera, this is Janice. I am helping Richard and Chi with scheduling, and they have a friend's birthday dinner coming up on April 19th (Friday). It will be a dinner only. Are you able to watch the kids from 5 pm to around 9:30-10 pm? Their dinner is at 6:45 pm in Venice. Thanks!"

EO is Richard's business group in Los Angeles, with most events occurring in LA.
Typically, there is no fee for these events since there is an annual fee for EO membership.
Registration: EA needs to decide if Chi (Richard's wife) wants to attend (usually not for business events).
For spousal and family events, Chi might attend, but EA needs to verify with the event organizer.
Guest registration for EO events is not always open; sometimes only members can attend.

If the event is less than 30 minutes driving distance, Richard will attend.
If the event is more than 30 minutes driving distance or earlier than 8:30 am, Richard will not attend.
Check the distance from Richard's residence to the venue before deciding.
