Study Notes

The "Photography for Teens" course is a week-long program at Dean College.
It has been running for 17 years, with a total of 25 years of experience in running short courses.

The course covers different types of photography, including portrait, street, action, and underwater photography.
Each day, students learn how to take different kinds of photographs.
Morning sessions involve learning about photography equipment and viewing examples of different photographs.

Afternoon sessions involve practicing techniques and skills learned in the morning.
Students go on trips to different locations, such as the market, nature reserve, and local zoo, to practice their photography skills.
The final session of the day is a group discussion in the studio, where students can learn from each other's experiences.

The course is open to students aged 13-16.
Up to 30 students can participate, but they are divided into smaller groups based on their photography experience.
Students work in groups for practical sessions and come together for events, such as a talk on careers in photography.

Students can expect to improve their photography skills, gain confidence, and make new friends.
Many students also report improving their presentation skills.
Lunch is included in the course fee.
