The First Mass in the Philippines
- March 31, 1521, Easter Sunday, Father Pedro de Valderrama celebrated the first Catholic Mass in Limasawa, Southern Leyte
- This event marked the birth of Roman Catholicism in the Philippines
- In 1897, a monument commemorating the first mass was erected, and in 1953, it was rehabilitated
Magellan's Voyage
