Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)
- Established on January 1, 1916, as the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR)
- Reorganized into the Department of Agriculture and Commerce (DAC) in 1932
- Renamed back to the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources in 1947
- The Natural Resources arm was spun off as the Ministry of Natural Resources on May 17, 1974
- Reorganized into the Department of Environment, Energy and Natural Resources in 1987
- Finally became the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) on June 10, 1987
History and Mandate
- Worked on the National Greening Program (NGP) from 2011 to 2016
- Currently led by Secretary MARIA ANTONIA YULO LOYZAGA
