GAD Budget Allocation

  • At least 5% of the total budgetary allocation of state agencies shall be utilized for programs and activities to implement this Act.

Implementing Rules and Regulations

  • The PCW shall formulate the IRR of this Act within 180 days after its effectivity in coordination with other government agencies, NGOs, and civil society groups.
  • The Committee on Youth, Women and Family Relations (Senate) and the Committee on Women and Gender Equality (House of Representatives) shall be involved as observers.

Separability Clause

  • If any provision or part of this Act is held invalid or unconstitutional, the remainder of the law or the provisions not otherwise affected shall remain valid and subsisting.

Repealing Clause

  • Any law, presidential decree, or issuance contrary to, or inconsistent with, the provisions of this Act shall be repealed, modified, or amended accordingly.

Effectivity Clause

Reporting

  • The PCW shall submit to Congress regular reports on the progress of the implementation of this Act, highlighting the impact thereof on the status and human rights of women.
  • The second report shall include an assessment of the effectiveness of this Act and recommend amendments to improve its provisions.

Penalties

  • The CHR shall recommend sanctions to the Civil Service Commission and/or the Department of the Interior and Local Government upon finding of violation of this Act by a government agency or local government unit.
  • The person directly responsible for the violation as well as the head of the agency or local chief executive shall be held liable under this Act.
  • If the violation is committed by a private entity or individual, the person directly responsible for the violation shall be liable to pay damages.
