Society Name and Governance
- The Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) is the professional body for pharmacists in Ghana.
- The PSGH is governed by a Board of Directors.
- The Board consists of elected and ex-officio members.
- The Board is responsible for the overall governance of the Society.
- The Board appoints committees to carry out its tasks.
Membership
- Only members in good standing are eligible to be on the Board.
- There are various types of membership within the PSGH.
Board Structure
- The Board includes officers of the Society, such as the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Immediate Past President.
- Ex-officio members include representatives from pharmacy training institutions, the Ministry of Health, the heads of various practice groups, and the chairperson of the Lady Pharmacists Association of Ghana.
Board Tenure
- The tenure of the Board is two years.
- Elected officers can be re-elected but cannot serve more than two consecutive terms for the same position.
