• Economy paint finish: Tactor Ace, price range 60-70
• Premier paint finish: Apcolite Apex, price range 80-90
• Luxury paint finish: Royal Ultima, price range 100-110

Steps of Painting

• Steps involved in painting process: pop (10mm), sanding, premier, putty (2 coats), sanding, premier, topcoat (2 coats)
• Steps involved in repaint process: sanding, repair holes, putty, apply primer, apply two coats of paint

Painting Area Calculation

• Painting area is calculated as carpet area multiplied by 3.5
• Carpet area is calculated as length multiplied by breadth

Distemper

• Distemper is used to hold paint and has a coverage of 50-60 sq. meters

Wood Furniture Process

• Steps involved in wood furniture process: sanding/cleaning (paper 600), wood putty, 2 coats of paint

Metal Cleaning Process

• Steps involved in metal cleaning process: surface cleaning (paper 60), KPF - knieting paste filler, red oxide (primer) - 1 coat, top coat paint - 2

Water Proofing

• No waterproofing required for 0-3% water seepage
• 2K Damp proofing required for 4-11% water seepage, coverage area - 40-50 sq. feet
• Hydro lock required for 11-20% water seepage, coverage area - 40-50 sq. feet
• Hydro lock/2K damp lock required for 20-40% water seepage
• For above 40% water seepage, clean the roof until brick comes out and then apply 2K damp lock or hydro lock

Types of Primer used in Waterproofing

• Dampshed Interior (DSI)
• Dampshed Exterior (DSE)

Waterproofing Process

• Use wire brush to clean the roof
• Use pressure water to clean the roof
• Repair cracks - if crack is 5-10mm, it is repairable, but more than 10mm, use cement
• Apply Damp proof (1 coat) - primer coat with diluted 3:1
• Final step is Damp proof - 2 coats
