Leave Policy
- Definition: Leave carryover is a policy that allows employees to carry unused paid-time-off days from one year into the next.
Eligibility
- Employees are not entitled to carryover leave as from 2024.
Applicable Rules
- Carryover days must be utilized within the first 6 months of the next benefit year.
- Unused carryover days after 6 months will be forfeited.
- Carryover days cannot be converted into cash and paid to employees.
Leave Application
- All leave requests, except maternity or birthday leaves, need to be applied for in the EasyHR portal and be approved to be eligible for paid time off.
Leave Approval / Rejection
- Leave applications not complying with the rules can be rejected without justification.
- Leave applications complying with the rules may be rejected by the appropriate manager with justification.
- Leave applications will not be unreasonably withheld but need to be balanced by operational priorities, deadlines, and customer expectations.
Dispute Resolution
- In case of disputes, grievances need to be lodged, in writing, to the company HR representative via the EasyHR portal for escalation to the Managing Director for resolution.
Company Shutdown
- The company may have a shutdown during the Christmas/New Year week(s), and most employees, except nominated essential personnel, will be required to take some leave days at this time.
