What is the course description of PRIP Level 300 (PBPR 303)?
This course gives an overview of Public Relations as practised in various organisations such as in government, the non-profit sector, higher education, the corporate world and in security organisations. It prepares the student to understand the roles and functions of PR in different organisations and sectors to enable students develop skills to build and measure the effectiveness of PR programmes and their application to specific industries to effectively fit into organisations in such sectors. An array of industries is explored to demonstrate the widespread practice of public relations throughout large and small enterprises, government departments and not-for-profit organisations. A resource person will be invited to present a lecture and share experiences with students on public relations activities/operations.
