Neurovasculature in the Abdomen

The organs included in the viscera of the abdomen are the terminal part of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, spleen, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, kidneys, and suprarenal glands.

The session outcomes for this topic are: 1) Being able to outline the divisions of the gut and viscera within the divisions, 2) Developing an overview of the blood supply and venous drainage of the abdomen, and 3) Developing a basic understanding of the visceral efferent (autonomics) and visceral afferent innervation of the abdomen.
