Ncert: National Council of Educational Research and Training
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an apex body in India, responsible for the development of policies, programmes and activities for qualitative improvement in school education in the country. Established in 1961, NCERT has its headquarters in New Delhi. It was created as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The NCERT's mandate includes:
