DLR (Depot Level Repair) Parts
- DLR stands for Depot Level Repairable.
- Depot Level Repairables are parts maintained by the Navy, economically repaired, and then sent back out to the fleet.
- A 5G advice code means to give the part to Supply.
- A 5S advice code means the part remains in the system.
RIP (Remain in Place) Procedures
- Remain in Place authorizes a DLR to stay in place until it is replaced with a new one, which must be approved by NAVSUP WSS.
