- Twenty short definition questions will make up the first part of the midterm.
- Definitions should be no more than three sentences in length.
- The definitions will be of concepts studied and explained in class, and also found in articles and handouts on Owl.
- This section is worth 60 points (20x3 points).
- A perfect definition is worth 3 points; a good definition with some missing information is worth 2 points; a faint understanding of the concept is worth 1 point.
- Divination is a process where a Shaman 'brings down' information about the future from higher worlds. Prophets and priests also use divination.

- Eight short answer questions will be in the second part of the midterm.
