Weapon Training

Firing Points Procedure
- Pre-Firing: Detail to targets, party within 100 yards of firing point, firing procedures explained and detail positions occupied.
- Firing: Commanding officer orders Detail Advance, giving positions, then loading and firing, starting after 'Officer-in-charge' gives order. Each firer raises arm, takes rifles back to shoulders, checks and reports their rifles in order (one rifle as 'theek', the rest saying 'do theek' 'teen theek' etc), the final firer says 'number ek theek.' Firers must have no live ammunition.
- Post-Firing: Instructor checks their work, new detail forms, weapon inspections before leaving range.
