The Officer's Code

  • Enables officers and EPs to spend their off-duty social and recreational life in the Officer's Club and EP's Club House.
  • An officer's official statement, whether written or unwritten, must be truthful and not false, as making false statements is contrary to military ethics and punishable under the Articles of War.

Ceremonies and Traditions

  • Ceremonies at Holiday Dinners involve the CO visiting troops during meal time or prior to the serving of the meal, practiced during Christmas and New Year's day.
  • The Officer's Club and EP's Club House host Christmas Holiday Entertainment.

Military History

  • The rank of an officer carries responsibilities, and it is their duty to prepare themselves for higher responsibilities.
  • Rajah Soliman, a Muslim leader, resisted the Spanish efforts to land in Manila in 1570.
  • In 1571, Legaspi conquered Manila and made it the capital of the Philippines.

Philippine Military History

  • The Citizen Armed Force of the Philippines Reservist Act, approved by President Aquino in 1991, establishes the legal basis for its development, administration, organization, training, maintenance, and utilization.

1. Honor

  • Honor is a crucial value for soldiers, promoting dignity, worth, and integrity through truthfulness, sincerity, honesty, credibility, and integrity, which are essential for being remembered.

2. Loyalty

  • Loyal to our nation and obey and respect the constitution while careful in supporting the chain of command and orders of those legally appointed over us.

3. Valor

  • Personal bravery the ability to overcome fear which enables soldiers to c with arry out their missions that may seem impossible. The courage, calmness and presence of mind while under pressure

4. Duty

  • Having the value of obedience and standard execution despite difficulty and danger. Personal act of responsibility in carrying out assigned tasks to the best of your capabilities

5. Solidarity

  • It is the unity among individuals and what binds the rest of comrades- -arm in s which makes the group strong and unified.

WAYS TO DEVELOP MILITARY DISCIPLINE

a. REWARDS OR AWARDS – are positive incentives in exalting obedience and which is given to deserving personnel.

b. TEAMWORK – is an orderly and effective group action brought about by military discipline.

c. MILITARY DRILLS – are primary means to develop military discipline.

d. PUNISHMENT – is one of the methods of imposing discipline in a command.


CHARACTERISTICS OF CORRESPONDENCE

1. Accuracy - Information cited in a letter must be factual; based on the statement of true

facts.

2. Brevity - Letter must be brief; short as possible but must contain important details

prepared in logical order

3. Clarity - easy understanding, the words are simple and common to the reader

4. Dignity - must command respect and should reflect authority
