Milan Fashion Week: One of the most important clothing trade shows worldwide, held semi-annually in Milan, Italy.

Establishment and operations: Milan Fashion Week was established in 1958 and is part of the global "Big Four fashion weeks", with Paris Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and New York Fashion Week.

Organization: Milan Fashion Week is partially organized by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, a non-profit association responsible for promoting the development of Italian fashion.

Events: Milan Fashion Week takes place twice a year, with women's fashion events being the most important, including Womenswear / Milan SS Women Ready to Wear and Milano Moda Donna. The summer events dedicated to men include Menswear and Milano Moda Uomo.

Designers: Major fashion houses such as Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Fendi, Ferragamo, Gucci, Jil Sander, Marni, Max Mara, Missoni, Moschino, Philipp Plein, Prada, Pucci, John Richmond, Tod's, and Versace participate in the fashion week.

Controversy: In 2014, Greenpeace protested to demand "toxic-free fashion" by hanging signs in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
