Study Notes
mDL (Mobile Driver's License)
- Allows users to limit shared data to only what is necessary for the transaction.
- Verifier only needs to verify the person's age and identity, not demographic information or address.
Using an mDL
- Open the GET Mobile ID app with a secure PIN or biometric (face or fingerprint).
- Choose the data page to share and tap the share button, generating a QR code.
- The QR code does not contain identifiable information.
- Present the QR code to the verifier's device, and the two devices will create an encrypted communication path.
