Background Checks
- All candidates must pass a background check before being hired
- Background checks must be repeated every 5 years for staff, volunteers, contractors, and consultants.
Standards of Conduct
- Employees, volunteers, contractors, parents, and consultants are expected to abide by the Standards of Conduct
- Violating the Standards of Conduct, specifically regarding child maltreatment or corporal punishment, will be reported to local authorities.
- MCH-EHS Program Director will file charges against violators
Supervision
- MCH-EHS has a system in place to ensure that no child is left unsupervised
- Reports regarding agency staff or volunteer compliance with child abuse and neglect laws governing sex offenders will be reported to the responsible H.H.S. official
Dress Code
- Staff are allowed to wear slacks, jeans, khakis, shorts, skirts to the knee or scrubs in good condition
- Pants must be belted, no spandex tights, leggings, or jeggings are allowed
- No dangling jewelry is allowed, especially in the kitchen
- Employees cannot wear smartwatches or earbuds while working
- Fingernails must be kept short and clean and can be polished as long as they are clean
- Kitchen staff must wear gloves at all times

- Employees who don't adhere to the dress code will be sent home without pay
